KENTUCKY MOUNTAINEERS FEAR REVIVAL OF FEUD WAR

BY ASSOCIATED PRESS

PINEVILLE, KY., (PIKEVILLE, KY., SIC) FEB. 10 -- One of the most noted feud leaders in BIG SANDY VALLEY, LOUIS HALL, who had boasted of killing 20 men, was shot and killed at SHELBY GAP in the PIne Mountains yesterday by CONSTABLE GEORGE JOHNSON.  A moment later his son, MORGAN HALL, met the same fate at the same hands.  People in that section fear a revival of feud war.
JOHNSON had a warrant for MORGAN HALL, who was suspected of operating a "blind tiger" and openly defied detectives to enter his home.  The shooting followed the constable's attempt to read a warrant for the junior HALL's arrest.
