Quillen, Vester Oneil age 44 years, 10 months, and 20 days, of Ermine, Kentucky, died on Friday, December 20, 2002 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Health Care Center.  He was born on January 30, 1958, a son of Mary Lawson Quillen of Whitaker, Kentucky and the late Oliver Quillen.  He is survived by his wife, Norma Kay Hall Quillen of Ermine, Kentucky; one step-son: Geder Martin of Crafts Colley, Kentucky; one stepdaughter, Eva Marie Turner, and husband Christ Turner, of Crafts Colley, Kentucky; three brothers, Bucky Oliver Benjamin Quillen of Eddyville, Kentucky, Audy Joe Quillen of Fr. Meyers, Florida; James Hall of Crafts Colley, Kentucky, four sisters; Lisa Reed of Knott county, Kentucky; Vanda Hall of Oklahoma, Sandra Newsome of Whitaker, Kentucky, Lillie Bates of Jack horn, Kentucky; one granddaughter; Hannah Grace turner and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.  Funeral services were conducted on December 23, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Way of the Cross Church, with Elijah Sandlin, Wendell Bates, and Andrew Morris officiating.  burial followed at Whitaker Cemetery, Seco, Kentucky under the direction of the Letcher Funeral Home, Inc., Whitesburg, Kentucky.
