Hardburly, Kentucky

Main Street of Hardburly was taken from up on the mountain at the head of Main St. of Hardburly above where the World's largest Wooden Tipple
was located at one time.  Also some of the movie "Next of Kin" with Patrick Swayze was filmed here.  On the left of the picture you can see the road which was main st.  They hauled in dirt and covered over the street to make it a dirt road.  On the right side of the picture you can see part of where the railroad ran up the holler to the tipple.  It is down below the road youcan see on the right of the picture.  If you look towards the top center of the picture you can see the two story building with the long windows.  That is where the company store was.
