At a court held for Russell County the 7th day of November 1809.
Present: John Tate, James Davison, Zachariah Fugate, Francis Browning, & Ezekiel Burdine, Gents.
Charles Noe for the benefit of John McKeon vs Robert Hobbs In Debt James Hobbs junr. (?) undertakes for the defendant in this suit that in case he shall be cast ? (found guilty) he shall satisfy and pay the condemeration of the court or render his body to prison in execution for the same or that he the said James Hobbs will do it for him.
Four Indentures of Bargain & Sale from Samuel Ewing attorney for Hugh & Charles McClung one to Mary Webb, one to John Gibson, one to Henry Dickenson, Junr., and the other to Jacob Roddin were acknowledged in court by the said Samuel & ordered to be recorded
An Indenture of Bargain & Sale from Anthony McNight and Mary his wife to William Ervin was again produced in court & proven by the oath of John Ervin the other witness thereto & Ordered to be recorded.
An Indenture of Bargain & Sale from John Ervin and Nancy his wife to Aaron Hendricks was acknowledged in court by the said John and Nancy, she having been first privately examined as the law directs & Ordered to be recorded.
An Indenture of Bargain & Sale from William Shoemaker & Pheby his wife to George Wat was acknowledged in court by the said William & Pheby, she having been first privately examined as the law directs & Ordered to be recorded.
An Indenture of Bargain & Sale from Patrick Coil to George Vaught was acknowledged in court by the said Patrick and Ordered to be recorded

On the motion of Zachariah who made oath according to law and who together with Nathan Ellington and Sheperd Gose his securities entered into and acknowledge their bond in the penalty of $600 conditioned as the law directs, certificate is granted him for obtaining letters of administration on the estate of Elizabeth Williams decd. in due form.
Colbert Fugate, foreman, John Starns, Jacob Roalon, Allen Riley, Nathan Hobbs, John Holbrooks, Stephen Gose, Robert McFarlane, Peter Lambert, Peter Powers, Joseph Kiser, John Wallis, Stephen Fullen, John Hackney, David Bloomer, & Ephraim Sargent being sworn to Grand Jury of inquest for the body of this county & having received their charge retired from the bar to consult of their presentments and after some time returned and having nothing to present was discharged.
Robert Gambell vs Richard Price In debt Nathan Ellington and Ausen Price of this county comes into court and undertakes for the defendant in this suit that in case he shall be cast (found guilty) he shall satisfy and pay the condemeration of the court or render his body to prison in execution for the same or that they will do it for him.
The Commonwealth vs Major Sulcen Up on a presentment of the Grand Jury for profane swearingOn the motion of the attorne for the commonwealth and it appearing in evidence to the court that the defendent is guilty of profane swearing, it is considered that for the said offences he make his fine to the Governor of this Commonwealth for the use of the said Commonwealth by the payment of eight dollars & thirty cents and that he pay the cash in this prosecution expenses &may be taken.
